USA Eight Crop Classification

Classifies crops in a given USA area of interest using two models. The classification covers corn, cotton, potato, rye, soybean, wheat and others (for the first model) and alfalfa, barley and others (for the second model).

This service detects crops using Sentinel-2 images and spectral indices for the area of interest from the start date to the optional end date. The output is provided as 2 GeoTIFFs for each model run classifying corn(0), cotton(1), potato(2), rye(3), soybean(4), wheat(5), others(6), and alfalfa(0), barley(1) and others(2). These two outputs are then combined to provide an overall classification. Two GeoTIFFs are also provided which have a band for each crop specifying the probability of detection. An annotated GeoJSON is provided that includes for each paddock: the paddock area, majority crop, and its area. A CSV with the details is also provided, as well as two preview images for each model.
