Ryegrass Biomass Estimation (Multispectral and SAR)

Estimates the amount of pasture biomass for ryegrass, providing 10m resolution maps and related data over your specified region of interest. This service uses multispectral and SAR data to offer as high an accuracy as possible irrespective of clouds.

Use this service when you have ryegrass pasture. Other services are available for mixed or specific crop types. This service has been proven to estimate the amount of pasture biomass for ryegrass. Given a region of interest, the algorithm is run using Sentinel-1 and Sentinel-2 to return the total estimated biomass and average biomass per hectare for the area from the start date to the optional end date. The output is provided as a GeoTIFF showing the estimated biomass in kg per pixel. A preview image is also provided along with a CSV file giving the total and average estimated biomass per paddock/field.
