Landsat (Multispectral)

This service provides the full imagery set from Landsat 8/9 (30m, 15m, 100m) atmospherically corrected where available, for a specified region of interest.

Landsat 8/9 data products provide global multispectral images. You must provide a region of interest and then a start date and optional end date. Note that Landsat 8/9 data is available from 2013-04-01 onwards. For every day from the start to the end (inclusive), atmospherically corrected waveband responses are then output as separate images representing 11 wavebands. The imagery is output as a series of GeoTIFF files, each with a single band representing a waveband. Preview images are also provided. All GeoTIFF files will have the same geographic projection and resolution (up-sampled to 10m). Additional options allow specification of options which control the aggregation of images over a number of days.

Monitoring Land Surface Temperature

Smart processing for higher resolution images

The challenge to monitor changing temperatures in urban and rural areas has never been more real or important. Most commonly, temperature readings are taken by measuring the temperature of the air. However, this has a major drawback in that it cannot account for variation of temperature on different surfaces and materials. To do so, Land Surface Temperature (LST) is required. LST readings are generally obtained through remote sensing observations from satellites, which offer the benefit of monitoring cities, regions and nations at scale and at regular intervals. What differentiates D-CAT’s LST product is the unparalleled spatial resolution of 15m enabling more precise spatial insights.
